Sherman Oaks is an appliance-diverse neighborhood
Sherman Oaks runs from the 405 in the east (or further, depending on how you draw the line) to Van Nuys Blvd in the west, and from Mulholland in the south to the flats at Riverside Drive in the north. That’s a lot of ground, and the housing and appliance profile varies significantly across it.
The hillside south of Ventura is estate territory — Longridge, Valley Vista, Sunswept, and the winding streets leading up to Mulholland. These homes often have the Sub-Zero / Wolf / Thermador / Miele package kitchens of the 2005–2015 remodel era, exactly at the age where quality repair preserves a major investment.
The flats north of Ventura are more varied — from the compact lot single-family homes in the Chandler/Hesby area to the larger-lot streets east of the 405. Brand mix is broader: mainstream (Whirlpool, KitchenAid, Samsung), mid-premium (GE Monogram, Bosch), and premium (Sub-Zero, Miele) all appear depending on the specific block.
The Galleria condos and Ventura Blvd corridor are compact-kitchen territory — 24-inch appliances, stackable laundry, panel-ready dishwashers. Same service approach as the Tarzana and Woodland Hills condo corridors.
The 405 factor
One real operational detail: the 405 freeway runs north-south through Sherman Oaks, and traffic on it significantly affects our drive times. Morning westbound 101 → 405 → Ventura Blvd is faster than afternoon eastbound. We plan Sherman Oaks runs early in the day when possible, which is why our morning dispatch windows for Sherman Oaks are usually tighter than our afternoon windows.
